Amelia Clare Bones is exceptionally fair (_feathers) wrote in linia,
"Of course," she said simply, dipping her quill in the ink and beginning to write. Legibility, fine, she'd show him legibility. She'd also like to tell him to take it and shove it up his arse, but as that would end in disaster, she'd just settle for thinking and and amusing herself as she wrote lines. I will not sneak out of bounds, you giant arse, she wrote and added. Oh, she probably had a 100 of these 'except when necessary' 'only when you're not looking' 'unless it'll piss you off' ... and on and on.
His question threw her off guard, and she closed her eyes briefly. It was suicide to pretend she didn't think he knew exactly what it was, he'd been looking at it far too much for it to just be parchment. There were about 16 different ways to go with this and she had a second to make a decision. "I gave it to her," was the one she chose, not so much in an attempt to protect Ginny, as it was to protect Fred, who was still in the clutches of Black's evil wife.
The question of how he had figured out how to work it, would have to come later.
