Amelia Clare Bones is exceptionally fair (_feathers) wrote in linia,
400 lines, and it was obvious that he was baiting her. "Tell the truth and let all else follow," she added coldly. It was a direct reply to the not calling him a liar one. She wanted to add "I will not tell lies," and then mention that nevermind, she didn't want to contradict him, but that would have been taking the bait too far - and likely resulted in harsher punishment. As it was, she had already taken the bait, there was no sense in digging it up even further. The irony of her suggestion, to her, was that she hadn't been telling the truth and letting all else follow. But it would be a nice reminder. It would be a nice contrast to respect, honesty, and duty, which were all, at the moment, rubbish.
