Lisa goes to the Laundromat [OPEN]
Who: Lisa & OPEN
What: Accidentally going inside a strip club
Where: On the footpath outside the Laundromat
When: Friday, around Lunch
Rating: PG
Open? Yes!

Lisa was totally innocent when she made the mistake of turning left and walking inside ‘Hollywood Girls’; which just so happened to be next door to her intended destination of the Laundromat. Lisa had never been in a strip club before, and the idea she had of them was all gathered from TV shows and movies. She was under the naive impression that the girls just simply walked/danced around on stage in tiny bikinis, having never thought or cared much about what else went on after the short shorts and tiny blouse was removed.

So there Lisa was standing, jaw dropped, in a strip club. Standing with her washing basket and bag of dirty clothes with a naked woman dancing on stage in front of her. Quickly turning around Lisa exited the way she came, closing her eyes as she walked to try and remove the image of the woman and pole from the inside of her eyelids.

It was due to Lisa’s complete lack of attention, caused by the boobie distraction, that she bumped into somebody just outside of the strip club. God! This day could not get any worse! Completely embarrassed at being caught outside a strip club, innocent or not, Lisa went into defensive mode, “Iamsorry!” she rushed, blinking a couple of times as the image was still burned in her brain, “I went in the wrong door and ended up in that foul place!” she pointed to the door.

It then crossed Lisa’s mind that she’d bumped into this person right outside the strip club so they may have well been heading inside. Oy fuck! “Umm, I mean fine establishment that creates well needed employment opportunities for struggling, attractive, women… and men?” God! This was why she was a writer; she sucked at real life people interaction.

Of all the weeks for his dryer to take a dump, it had to be this week. This week when Troy barely had time for himself, since the restaurant in the Boston Harbor Hotel was being reviewed. It was being reviewed by a random guy, nobody would know who the guy would be, and so it was stressful inside the restaurant. The guy called and told the owners that he'd be in at some point this week, and so they were basically working Troy around the clock, hoping that the reviewer was coming in during the 18 hours a day Troy was there.

Finally having enough, Troy told them that he needed a day off, or else he was going to fall asleep in the food he was preparing, and that wasn't extremely sanitary. So, he took the day off. With his free time, he decided to take his clothes to the laundromat. He had to park his car down the street, and he grabbed his bags of clothes from the backseat, walking down the street. As he passed the strip club that was next door to the laundromat, someone came running out the door and ran right into him.

"Jesus," he mumbled, straightening up and then glancing at who it was that had run into him. A huge smirk crossed his face as he recognized his friend. He listened to her ramble on and tried not to laugh. She wasn't looking at him, she was too embarrassed. Finally he decided he'd put an end to her embarrassment. "I never would have pegged you for the strip club type, Lisa," he snickered, covering his mouth.

At the sound of Troy's voice Lisa could not hold back and playfully punched him in the arm. "You ass!" She sighed, shaking her head as she tried to will the blush away that was currently tinting her cheeks, "Why didn't you stop me when I was on my crazy word vomit rant!?" She laughed, giving him another playful punch for good measure.

Adjusting her hold on her washing basket she rested it lightly on her hip as they walked inside Laundromat. It had been a while since she'd seen Troy. Ever since her and Antoinette had had their faux fight it had been hard to schedule time with Troy and Faith that was not taken by Antoinette or their jobs.

"How've you been?" She sighed again, though this time it was a happy one, "I am not going to lie but you're a sight for sore eyes. I've missed you" Lisa's smile turning into a somewhat sad one.

Troy laughed and shook his head. "I didn't stop you because it was too funny to listen to. And you got all red in your cheeks and stuff, that was awesome," he laughed again, flinging one of his laundry bags over his shoulder. He narrowed his eyes as she punched him again, and then rose a brow at her. "Stop punching me, woman. If my hands weren't full, I'd punch back, and you know it," he said.

He followed her into the laundromat and set his bags down on one of the tables, opening it and pulling out the clothes. He hadn't separated them before, so now it was time for that. Of course, he was didn't really separate them like most women did. His clothes were separated by importance. Glancing over at Lisa, he smiled a little while he worked on his clothes. He hadn't seen her in a really long time, not since she and Antoinette went their separate ways. He hadn't even gotten the chance to meet her baby yet.

Returning his gaze to her after she spoke to him, Troy nodded. "I've been good. Things at the restaurant have been hectic, especially since I've got this review coming up," he rolled his eyes. "But that's a long story that I'm sure will end up boring you," he added, smiling. He tilted his head to the side a bit and nodded at her statement about missing him. "Of course, I'm a missable guy. Even people who go a day without seeing me miss me. Plus, I'm sure you've had your hands full being a mommy," he said, then smiled at her. He slid his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into a one-armed hug. "But I've missed you, too," he admitted.
