"I think it might be helpful if you can tell me everything that has changed," Castiel said gently to Lydia. "You may sit if you wish." Cas didn't worry that it was Sam's house. To Cas it was closer to a home that the place he'd been assigned and he figured they'd be there for some time. They had a lot to talk about.
"You should have some beer, Sam. Lydia might like a drink too." He was aware humans needed to tend to their bodies and he wished them comfort. He had learned from Dean they tended to be grouchy without it. There was his added concern for the state of his companions. Both were confused about their condition, both suffered their own pain.
"Monday. I will be with you," Castiel promised. He offered Sam another tiny smile. "It is a very interesting story but there are too many holes. I would like to fill them."
Cas didn't tire easily. He had more time to devote to the search than the others and he had little else to fill his days now. No war, no day job, no Dean calling on him but he had a mission now. He had two.
