"Please," Aurora stepped back and indicated for Claire to cross the doorway. "Thank you," she smoothed a hand over he dress and smiled brightly. "It's one of my favorites, though my mother always thought I looked better in primary colors."
Aurora headed toward the sitting room, where she had been earlier and gestured toward one of the chairs, "Would you like to sit? I'm very interested in getting to know everything about this place."
With a pause, Aurora studied Claire's face for a reaction, her forehead slightly furrowed in hope that she wouldn't scare Claire off by her desire to learn more about the world where she was now a resident.
In the short amount of time that Aurora had been living in the cozy home, she'd already made it her own as much as possible. The items of hers that followed her were scattered about lovingly. To the right of the chair where she indicated for Claire to take a seat was an antique tea tray with two tiny cups with matching saucers and an equally petite kettle of fragrant tea simmering.
