"I dated, some." Julian nodded. He brought a hand up to scratch at his jaw, the barest hint of stubble starting to show. "The last one broke it off a couple weeks ago." He shrugged, as if unaffected. "Some women just aren't meant for dating career cops, you know?"
His expression softened to a smile. "But that's in the past. I'm here now. With my beautiful daughter, and there's nowhere I'd rather be."
