Owl from Willomena Avery Lestrange to Edouard Lestrange, dated 15 September 1942 Warded more strongly than usual.
Dear Edouard,
By now, you have likely heard about the attacks on Londinium. Rest assured that your father and I are safe, as is your Tante Gabrielle.
Gabrielle and Hyacinthe DeVries are under our roof right now. They have been evicted from Widdershins Court by Lady Malfoy. I'm sure that you have seen the announcement in the Daily Prophet, as well as Aristotle Moody's announcement. She has signed a contract to buy a house, but we are unsure whether she will be able to afford it.
I am glad that you were not in Hogsmeade at the time of that party, but the Hornbys have told us that Olive did attend. I don't know what to do about that girl; it seems that no one can keep her under control. I had hoped that she would listen to you, even if she ignored her parents' rules.
Please write back about your academic progress; your father has expressed some concerns. Also, your Tante Gabrielle says that she has not had a reply to her owl.
