Dear Endymion,
How are you doing? Mum says to send you her condolences on your parents. Yes, I know. She means well, but then doesn't she always? I imagine it's hard on Jonathan, though. Tell him I'm thinking of him and I really don't envy him being at Hogwarts - except when I do.
Speaking of school, next week I'm off to a new one. Did I tell you the last one was taken over by the Navy? No chance I'll be that lucky again; this one is in the middle of nowhere, absolutely no use to anyone. Any ideas on what I can do to get out of it? There have to be some potions that don't require magick to work. Daddy has warded the library; he knows me rather too well.
Do remember that once I'm at school you have to tell the owls to wait after they've delivered your letters, otherwise I won't be able to write to you.
