If you could hear the voice in my heart Who: Darklis, Rina and Trouble (NPC) Where: Outside of St. Francis When: Quite early morning
For some reason or another, Rina had decided that she was not ready to leave the roof of the church. From here she had a good view of the surrounding area and maybe that would help her get at least a little feel for what was going on in this place. Because she knew there were demons somewhere - their taint echoed in the air like the beating of dark wings - but also other angels. Had demons been shut out of the world like they were? I hope so, Rina thought, reaching up to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. It had started out up when she left Celestia but between then and now she had taken it down. It felt nice to have a breeze blowing through it. Even if she knew that the new scents of this place, ones that she did not altogether recognize, would stick in her hair and be difficult to get out. I'm going to need to find a shower. 'I never understood why you don't just use your tongues. Or figure out how to flex to reach your whole body.' No, Rina was still having difficulty grasping the fact that the new voice in her head supposedly belonged to the small cat curled up in her lap. Trouble, as she had called herself, had spent hours trying to explain and still Rina was half-convinced that she was just having the most vivid hallucination of her life. Or anyone's. Most hallucinations were not able to leave small tears in your pants as they 'climbed' up.
Seeing a shot of light across the distant horizon caused Rina's face to light up in a smile. She had always enjoyed the sunrises. They mean that the night is over and I- A shake of her head to rid the thoughts that had no place surfacing. Darkness should not taint the beginnings of a new day. Her first day back on earth. A new beginning. Rina had always loved the start of things. When there was never anything wrong and all of the promise in the world was there, just waiting to be seen and experienced. This place would be better than Hadamar - though there were good things there. It's okay to remember the good things. She had to nod her agreement to that, though her hand had started to twitch ever so slightly. To try and distract herself from that she scooted over to the edge of the roof and swung her legs over the edge, heels striking lightly against the wall as she did so. 'Careful, I don't want to fall.' Trouble even mewed her protest at the movement, shifting around until she could wriggle her way into the pocket of Rina's pants. Amazing that something which claimed to be a fully grown cat could fit there.
"I have wings," Rina informed the cat with a smile. They were furled at the moment, yes, but if necessary she could call them out. But then they would tear her shirt apart and she was not ready to change into one of the others yet. She liked this one. "If I fell we wouldn't get hurt." She was about to explain that she would also likely land on her feet, like a cat, when the sound of a door opening reached her ears. Curious, she tilted her head and watched as someone came out of the church. Someone who tugged at strings - and not just the ones that came when those she was meant to protect were near - when Rina could not even make out their face. Blood calls blood. "Do I know you?" A curious whisper as she leaned out off the roof, silently soothing Trouble's protests at the even more dangerous move, trying to see this person's face. A girl, it was a girl. After biting at her lip for a moment Rina decided to call out. "Hello?"
