Snorting, Darklis had to think about that for a moment. "It would never work for Chris and me. His ratings would suffer because the so-called predators would end up hog-tied and hung from the nearest precipice before anyone could intervene." She wouldn't feed from them and couldn't rightly kill them without landing herself in a world of trouble, but she had fairly strong views on the matter. "Not that I wouldn't love the chance to do exactly that." It had just never occurred to her to use her apparent age as that kind of asset. Mainly because it was... vile. "So... Both of you are supernatural but you're not following the leading arguments?" She glanced between them, almost disbelieving, but then she supposed she had a lot of time on her hands and that particular debate had been far more relevant to her than it had to them. "Fair enough." Cole didn't really seem like the kind of guy to snigger into his beverage of choice every time Calvert opened his mouth. "It's the intelligent-adorability factor," Darklis put in, immediately hoping she hadn't come across as condescending. Truth be told, she was far more condescending towards adults than she was teenagers and younger. She didn't know why.
Fair point. Although Cole calling 'Amen!' like that had her choking on the air she wasn't breathing. People were staring, though, so she forced her face into a slightly less amused grin and clapped a hand over her mouth before Cole and Isolde's parents caught wind of the fact she was a vampire and accused her of corrupted their children. Unless this was an average day for him. She would not have been surprised if it was. The reaction the conversation got from Isolde was... interesting. Unless she had just insulted one of said die-hard - Twihard. - fans. "Sorry, I didn't mean to cause offense. If I did. Really. I'm just opinionated." She chewed on her lip. She had enjoyed the books just fine herself until she had stopped to think about what she was reading. Before that they were mindless pages intended to burn time. "Stronger than you, yes." And Darklis had no problem with confirming that. "Not necessarily stronger than a demon. And they really like tearing apart the angelic, even when they're already dead." She had really said that last part too loudly. Glancing around her, she decided they were going to find out eventually already if they didn't already know and brushed it to one side. She still continued in a lower voice. "It's silver. Not lead."
