It was so surreal to think that just a month ago, Fina and Adi were still here. They were the ones she had weekly coffee breaks with and had them in on the whole thing with Quentin. They were there for her and in return, Roxy was willing to bend backwards for them. As painful as it was, Quentin had a point, but all she did was nod in response to him while getting comfy in her seat. She took several sips on her drink before holding it close for comfort.
Roxy actually laughed at Quentin's comment about Alanna just taking a trip. A weak laugh, but it was something. "You know, my friend, Lulu, was saying something like that earlier. Like, maybe she wrote a note in her apartment and the cat knocked it down and into a corner. I don't know, she really had no reason to leave... Well, there was one guy who left her for no reason, but he's out in freaking Alaska or something. I really doubt she left the night before the full moon to go find him. She's not that dumb." Roxy pouted with a sigh. "I don't know. I have no control over it and it scares me. I don't want anymore friends leaving me or dying or I don't know.
She ran a hand through her hair, tugging at it to ease the stress, but all that did was make several clumps fall out. Roxy felt like a fine mess with everything that was going on. And her skin was still raw from recovering from the curse. Damnit, why couldn't it be easy for just a day?
