Yup, parents had their heads surgically removed from their bums and yup, Roxy was cursed by her ex. "About that," Roxy lifted a hand in protest. "I have bashed her face in with a field hockey stick and broke her nose forever. At prom, mind you. I would have done it again, but coffee runs typically don't entail one to wield field hockey stick. Just. Sayin'. Next time, she'd be armed with that and possibly a paintball gun.
Roxy was in the middle of placing in her own order - an iced americano with a raspberry shot - when Quentin looked over her with a concerned look. Nope, the pengu was never the type to lose friends. In fact, making friends with Roxy meant you were BFFs until the end of time. She would make sure of that. After paying for the drinks, she took in a sigh and walked over to the other end of the counter to wait for the caffeine. She crossed her arms slightly, tilting her head while looking at Quentin. Those brown eyes of hers had nothing but despair in them.
"You know, I wish I actually knew legit what happened. Even if it was something as messed up as like, the flying spaghetti monster divided by zero and killed the fail whale, at least it would explain all the shit going on." She facepalmed lightly with a groan. "So like, I had two biffles from Cali, right? Fi and Adi. We all ended up here and it was totally cool. But then Fi skipped town without telling anyone so she could become a rockstar and snort coke or something, I don't know. Would have been nice if she at least said goodbye. Then a week later, Adi left. She actually said something, but still. No reason as to why. Just 'I gots to go' and she bounced. No word since. And then Alanna..."
Roxy couldn't deal with this one as well, biting at her lower lip to ease the tension. A few flicks at her labret and she mustered up the balls to talk again. "I don't know. She's not the type to just leave for no reason. She's... she's like me, you know?" She gave Quentin a hairy eyeball look, hoping he'd catch her drift on the whole were thing. "Except not. She has no control and the night before the full moon? POOF! And now officials say she's missing and I don't want to be the one getting the 911 call saying she's dead in the woods or something." Roxy let out a groan, tugging at her hair. "I hate life."
