Ava didn't often choose to patronize Heme; she disliked being gawked at by vampires and tourists alike, and if the bouncer was a moron it was occasionally a hassle just to get in the door. But she'd been cooped up for days by the rain, and she wanted to be out. Even if she did nothing but sit by herself in the VIP lounge and scowl at the tourists, it would be better than nothing. The weres got to play tonight, so she would to. Besides, staring at the tourists was almost fun in and of itself. Most of them stared right back until the cold, strangely old light in her eyes unnerved them. They'd stare a lot less if they realized how frequently Ava was envisioning their prolonged and excessively bloody demise.
Which reminded her that another trip to Ad Gustum wouldn't go amiss. She did so miss her pet, after all.
Rather than deal with potential stains and the hassle of calling her wings out and back in again, Ava used her car service to get to the club after preparing herself for a night out. Her wardrobe choices were limited if she didn't want to look like a little girl playing dress up, so she kept herself to classic pieces - a sleeveless, backless cocktail dress, the rounded neckline hitting just at her collarbone. It was a slim fit without being tight, in a deep gray silk that shimmered faintly. With it she paired black peep-toes with a low heel, and a dressy, tailored black blazer to cover the back - which was only backless in case she needed her wings, after all. She'd pulled her hair back into a loose chignon, left off makeup save a bit of liner and mascara, subtle enough to enhance without being noticeable.
Getting into Heme was surprisingly less of a hassle than usual, which meant she didn't want to kill anyone the second she walked through the door - and there seemed to be less tourists that night, as well. Likely due to the full moon; humans tended to lock themselves safely inside their homes rather than be out with the wild beasts. Ava would have been grateful to the animals if the was the type to be grateful for anything.
Ruminations aside, she made her way to the bar for a drink, sitting demurely on the bar stool while she waited and deciding whether or not she felt like staying with the riffraff or heading straight up to the VIP area.
