TIME UPDATE
DATE: Friday, August 7, 2009.
BIRTHDAYS: None
WEATHER: The sun is shining brightly, temperatures are soaring, and it’s generally a beautiful day.
EVENTS: Those evacuated from their homes should be returning over the weekend, some even as early as today.
The full moon (and all its activities) were a huge success, with coverage from all over the state. While it’d be lovely to say there were no crime reports or fatalities over the night… sadly, that is not the case. Thankfully, at least one of them is not linked to weres.
Gracie Daye, a seventeen-year-old student at Scarlet Oak, was pronounced dead at her home late on the night of the 6th. The ultimate cause was determined to be a rock to the back of the head and the only witness to the crime (Principal Amelia Ridgeway) was heard saying something about ghosts and a possession. According to police Ms. Ridgeway has not been named a suspect, but it’s expected that she’ll be brought in for questioning later today.
Finally, Alanna Faulman has been reported as a missing person - she is a bitten were who no one has seen or heard from since she left work at Kessel's Dentistry Office on the 5th. It was initially feared by authorities that as a bitten were, she was on the run. Friends and relatives insist that Ms. Faulman always had an aunt lock her on the night of the full moon, and that she was not the type to run rampant.
