The wolves seemed to be much more in tune with each other in terms of communication; Lauren could pick up the majority of what they were indicating with their body language and the vocal cues from the younger ones, but if there was any specially detailed nuance to the generic, she was missing it. Then again, she needed a little more practice. She'd only just managed to bring down a wolf to start preparing the skin; it would be a little while before it was ready and whenever Lauren wasn't working on preparing the skin, she'd be working on learning how to speak wolf.
There were some gestures, however, that were universal - playtime was one of them. She was a little surprised the biggest wolf had showed her his belly - even if willing to and even inviting her to play, it seemed a little... friendly for a first meeting with a strange were. But she wasn't going to turn down the invitation to play - that had been the whole reason she'd planned to go the university later on. So when the wolf pawed at her and rolled over, Lauren responded by hunkering down in another universal posture - front paws out, shoulders down, hind end up in the air and wiggling.
The next second - careful to keep claws in - she pounced.
