"Well, with this weather, I'm pretty much free any time," Lauren said, glancing out the window and grimacing. She just hoped it would continue to lighten and not drop back into the slightly biblical-quality storms they'd been dealing with. "I could do it now, if you've got the time. Or we can start it and finish in another session, or you could basically just name your time right now and we'll get it on the books." Never let it be said she wasn't easy to work with.
She shot him a grin when he complimented her work. "Thanks," she said. "Good to know all those high school art classes paid off." She'd had a talent for art that had been honed through those classes and the surprisingly good teachers who'd taught them - and more importantly, who'd recognized budding talent when they saw it and took the time to nurture it in a student whose grades would've suggested she didn't give a damn about school. It wasn't that Lauren didn't care about math and science, it's just that she'd had much more to do learning how to become a skinwalker.
