Just a little problem we can fix together
Who: Bradley and Linnea (maybe their familiars too)
Where: Snow then Niemi residence
When: Late afternoon
Warning: NSFW</b>
When Linnea had learned that the Snows were one of the family's being put out because of the rain and subsequent flooding she knew that she could not let them go take up refuge at a hotel or maybe even their shop. No, they had been on friendly terms since she had moved her family to Scarlet Oak and that meant she would put them up. It was not as though her house did have plenty of room. So she had called Kara that morning and insisted that they all come over and put up there. And then she had realized that her house had never been this full for longer than a few hours. It was almost claustrophobic and more than once she had closed her eyes and stuck her hands into a fountain because, rain or not, she needed more soothing qualities when she could not help but worry that something was going to get broken. And if her house smelled like wet mammal afterwords - 'You invited them over,' Strike reminded her with a lazy flick of his tail from his favored perch curled around her neck. 'Which wasn't my idea, I was against it. I asked Dagmar and she said that you're supposed to avoid all forms of stress.'
Linnea shrugged. Their home had been compromised and it was not safe. Until it was she had to have them over or else what sort of friend was she to Kara and Joesph? But that did not mean that she had to be there and besides, she had an idea. She would just need a little help to see it through. Walking over to the phone and directing a fond smile over at the youngest Snow before telling him that he would be sleeping in the pool room if he knocked that fountain over, Linnea called Bradley.
Not half an hour later, after locating a cardigan to pull on over herself - because it would not due to wear a white shirt in the rain but now did she feel like removing it - Linnea was across the river and standing on an extremely muddy and slightly emerged road, staring at the river that had decided to encroach on the Snow's property. "Oh that won't do," she murmured as she eyed the muddy water on the yard. A bit of concentration and a frozen trail appeared for her to walk on so that she did not have to bother with lifting her skirt up out of the way. The sandals she could do with ruining but she liked the skirt. 'I don't like being out in the rain.' Strike reminded her pointedly. The snake had wanted to remain at home but Linnea had insisted that he come along. While she was a master this was something she had never quite attempted and it seemed only logical that the stronger she was the better, therefore she wanted her familiar there to help her. "At least the water isn't too terribly deep." Just enough to create a problem and if the rain continued then the house would be in more danger than simply having a - oh. Her face fell a little despite the surrounding water. The Snow's garden was going to suffer from this. Poor little Otter. And was that a slide made out of mud falling apart over there? Clearly the Snow's had been having fun before they needed to leave.
