The past few days had put Freddie in the best of moods. Storms were terrible things, and this one was already doing a lot of damage, but she couldn't help it. She was happy when it poured, and happiest when it poured directly on her. This was why she was walking through the streets of Scarlet Oak wearing simply jeans and a tank top, and sneakers that had let more water in than a damaged boat. Unlike most people, having her feet completely soaking wet didn't really make Freddie uncomfortable, quite the opposite.
Anybody who walked by would probably look at her sideways and think she was nuts; such was the smile Freddie had plastered across her face as she walked aimlessly, hair glued to her face as she held out her hands to feel the rain drops on her palms.
Such a happy day this was.
It took Freddie a moment to notice the only other guy in town (quite possibly) who was walking in the rain as unprotected as she was. Maybe he was a water elemental like herself, seizing the day like she was doing. Good on him, she thought as she walked in the opposite direction of him.
