Quentin's intentions weren't to make Jadyn any more defensive then she was already being with him. He didn't want to hurt her. Didn't want to upset her. Quentin was just frustrated and he wasn't good with words to begin with - his first reaction was to lash out, just like Jadyn was doing to him. The objects around him rattled some more, his calming actions not doing much to stop them once she started shouting at him. "Since when did I become the entire fucking neighborhood? Huh? I get it, you want to be alone, but I worried about you." Worried because he cared.
And then he saw the marks on her arm.
His eyes grew wide for a second. No. She wouldn't. Except... Quentin didn't know that for a fact. If Kevin was here, he'd know what to do. He always did when it came to Jadyn. But then again, of all the James children, Kevin might have been the best of them all. The most genuine, for sure, but Quentin was trying. "Jadyn, please. What the hell happened?"
