Jadyn had heard her cell phone go off multiple times during the day, but refused to even reach over and inspect the device. She was too depress, simply curled up in her study, wrapped up in a blanket as she tried scrying in a bowl of water. Considering her current state of mind, doing anything with her powers was not a smart idea, constantly causing the bowl to flip over and splash water ever. It startled Jadyn every time, but she only refilled it with water using her abilities and tried it again. All she was doing was trying to keep an eye outside of her house, making sure there were no vampires waiting outside. She should have known better and that they couldn't come inside, but she was beyond paranoid, her tired eyes filled with tears as she tried to focus.
Not once did she hear the knock on the front door, but little Cecil did. He was busy watching cartoons in the living room when the loud bang came from the door. Even Bubbler twitched about in his tank, wondering what the fuss was all about. Though the little tiger could smell the psychic on the other side and instantly recognized it as someone familiar and good. Skittering over to the front door, he opened it up and grinned upon seeing Quentin. "Uncle Quentin!" Cecil bounced a bit, happy to have a guest over.
It was then that Jadyn saw a vision in her pool of water. Someone at the front door and Cecil had answered. Eyes wide in panic, she threw the bowl to the side and bolted out of the study to head to the foyer. She didn't expect to see Quentin there, but when she caught sight of him, her panicked eyes only widened more, clinging onto her blanket as anxiety jolted through her body. "What are you doing here?" She demanded from him, obviously not acting her usual self.
