A good judge of character and good at anticipating people's actions, Angeline was blindsided and hadn't expected this from Locke, at least not just yet. However, she noticed she didn't mind at all, it was just another sign that he was beginning to feel smitten, which felt pretty good to the girl. She kissed him back softly, not wanting to give more than he was wanting or expecting. She smiled back when he did, lowering her gaze again after a moment. This was going brilliantly, so much so Angeline almost felt like the average teenager when kissed by a boy she fancied. Angeline was quick to wipe that thought from her mind, though. An average teenager was the farthest from what she really was, and no matter what she had to remember who she was. No boy, however gorgeous, sweet and gentlemanly, should be able to make her forget her standing.
When Locke kissed her again Angeline snaked an arm up his, her hand resting on his shoulder softly. One thing she couldn't deny was how much she was enjoying this, for a change. Courtship was fun after all.
