So kind of you to bless us with your effortlessness
Who: Andraste and Ashcroft
Where: Their lovely mansion
When: Evening
Settling into their new home in Scarlet Oak would have been much more welcoming if it didn't involve a rainstorm. Such things never made Ashcroft flinch when he used to be alive, but after being struck by lightning twice, he found himself skittish even when the skies appeared overcast. Thankfully they were inside by the time everything was moved in. As much as Ashcroft wanted to take a drive around town and take a peek around the area for himself, it would simply have to wait until the weather cleared up. Until then, Ashcroft stood in what was to be his bedroom and stared at all the boxes that surrounded him. This was a bit of a daunting task for him to take on and not one he was truly in the mood to deal with. A sigh escaped Ashcroft while reading the labels on all the boxes, trying to at least find the one that held his knife collection.
Wow, really? It had to be here. If it missed the flight and was back in Australia, there was going to be hell raised in Scarlet Oak.
Keeping his temper in check, the vampire tapped his hand against his thigh and raised an eyebrow. "Andraste?" No immediate reply. She was probably busy trying on her eleventh pair of earrings for all he knew. Closing his eyes, he rubbed a temple and spun on his heels to begin walking out of his room in search for the little blonde. Barely taking two steps, a crackle of thunder boomed overhead and all the lights blew out in the room, causing Ashcroft to drop to his feet and ramble off a string of English profanity that hadn't been heard since the war. He jumped back up to his feet and brushed himself off, glaring at the window as the wind picked up. "Oh lovely, it's like he knows I'm in here." He'd be damned to hell if his own element could kill him in his new house.
Ashcroft muttered to himself while leaving the room, realizing the rest of the light fixtures remained in perfect condition. Because that made sense, of course. Keeping to himself, he hummed a light tune while poking around the vast mansion in hopes to find his Andraste.
