Doth I protest too much?
Who: Karine and Whisper
Where: Whisper's workroom
When: Afternoon
Karine didn't like waking up when the sun was still out. Yes, during the summer it was practically impossible to avoid the far-too bright globe but that didn't mean that she liked it even a little bit. She'd probably continue to dislike the sight of it even when she was 300. Though, in her defense, she wasn't actually seeing it directly since the heavy curtains in the room were drawn shut. That and her ears picked up the sounds of rain quite clearly, which meant that the little bits of light she was seeing were dimmed by clouds. "Good," she muttered as she stretched out and slipped from beneath the covers, pulling her robe tighter about herself. Not only was she awake at what she considered to be an early hour, even if she hadn't engaged in the shenanigans Whisper'd hosted the night before, but Whisper was also up or else she'd not have woken alone. Yet the bed beside her was very clearly empty and she picked up stray thoughts about this bit of lighting or that piece of hair that shouldn't have been like that. Thoughts like that usually meant that her childe was working and following the sounds led her to Whisper's workroom.
Even if she didn't like what Whisper was doing - and she didn't, not one single bit - Karine couldn't deny that the woman had a talent for it. Perhaps that had just built up over the past century or perhaps it had always been there waiting for an outlet. Didn't matter either way now since enough time had passed to make natural talent just blend in with everything else. "I like what you did with the one brunette," Karine offered as she stepped up behind Whisper, brushing off an imagined piece of dust and frowning at where said imagined speck may have fallen. Without a thought she bent down to swipe at the floor with the tissue she'd plucked off Whisper's desk, satisfied now that it was gone. "Perhaps you should've hired a professional photographer though, to make it easier on yourself. Have you even gone to sleep?" Now that she thought about it Karine couldn't quite recall whether or not she'd stirred even a little the prior night in reaction to Whisper joining her. A slight frown creased her face at the thought of the other vampire staying up all night just for this little project of hers.
