On a good day there was a path through the clothing on the floor to get to Isaiah's bed, but you could never ask for much more than that with him. His mother had tried for years, but to no avail. It didn't help that Isaiah was secretly a clotheshorse, and owned more clothes than he let on. It helped when it came to laundry day, that was for sure. He usually tried to make sure the living room was at least passable, but having worked the last few days and having been at his parents' house earlier in the day, he just hadn't gotten to it yet.
When Winifred opened the door, Isaiah was there to greet her with a smile. Those red eyes of hers didn't go unnoticed, though - it was hard for the falcon to miss something like that, no matter how hard someone tried to hide it. Blame it on the fact that his vision was guaranteed better than hers, but now he was worried that she might have been crying. Homesick, maybe? He could understand that. Maybe he'd ask her about it a little later on. And yes, he caught the fact that she was checking him out, but that was okay, he was checking her out too. Subtly, of course. Politely. He still liked what he saw, though.
"And you weren't kidding about the boxes," he said, laughing. "Means you can build an awesome box fort once they're empty, if you wanted to." Of course, the forts he'd liked to build as a child often didn't have a roof on them, but that was because he was a little bit claustrophobic when it came to that. "The ride was fine, if not the best one ever. Rain always sucks." It was why he'd worn the jacket and his helmet, for once. You had to be hardcore to go out on the back of a bike in pouring down rain.
Taking off his jacket, he left it on top of one box, along with the helmet. "Couch will work," he assured her. "I brought a few things, mind if I toss them in your fridge for the moment?" After all, he didn't know when she wanted to start cooking, but it didn't have to be right away. Isaiah wasn't here only to teach, he was genuinely looking forward to her company. "What about you, how has your day been? Doing all right?"
