I walk a lonely road; the only one that I have ever known
Who: Jay and Rae.
Where: Scarlett Oaks's streets.
When: Just before sunset.
Jay was feeling pretty damn reckless today, as if she needed to do something stupid and careless.
It wasn't an odd feeling, considering she was trapped in a city she didn't want to, with way too many werewolves and way too little lycans, not to mention the ones here were as unworried as her about their supposed 'duties' as part of the pack. And she would have even enjoyed their company -she did, up to a point- but it wasn't in her to stay that much in a place, not against her will. Still, she knew that sooner or later she would get used to it, which was an idea that sucked, big time; maybe if she showed that she was capable of behaving the elders would allow her to keep on her wandering? For some reason, that didn't make any sense in Jay's head; that would contradict the point of her current situation. Stupid logic.
With the weather being as bitchy as she felt, the light wasn't as strong, and Jay found herself walking comfortably shortly before sunset, although she still kept her hoodie on, and her senses alert to any threat that might come near. This would end up become her territory -well, Liev's territory, but her home, in a way-, so she better started getting familiar with it. There was no point on not knowing where to turn and know you weren't about to go face first into a wall of bricks. It was also a good excercise to get to know the people that usually walked around certain zones, to sniff the weres around, and to start setting limits on the other packs that lived in the town. Surveillance was one of those things you got used to do when your life was a never ending race against your shadow.
She also needed money; whatever she had gotten wasn't going to last forever, and she would need to replenish her blood supplies sooner or later. Just in what kind of job could she get accepted -or count with any qualification at all- or at least considered, she didn't know, not without 'outing' herself as a vampire, at least, and she preferred to keep that as private as possible. One could dream...
