So here's the truth, you were right all along Who: Calista Kosko and Alessandro De Luca Where: Snow White Sweets When: Morning
Alessandro was lost. Well, "lost" wasn't a good word for it, but he wasn't sure where he was, or where exactly he was going. He hadn't forgotten the town - Scarlet Oak, his Gwyneth's hometown - and he knew he hadn't left it. But, being without a physical body, and with his memory working at less than 100 percent capacity, Alessandro easily lost track of such things.
He wasn't sure where Giada was at the moment. Since her meeting with Gwyneth, Alessandro had been quieter than usual - probably because knowing his wife couldn't see him and then actually experiencing what it felt like to stand there, invisible, had not been easy for the ghost. A quiet Alessandro was never a good thing, all those thoughts he kept bottled up inside had to come out sometime. But, without Giada, who could he talk to? The people who walked by him on the street didn't notice him. As far as he knew, Giada was the only one who could see him. Surely there was another medium out there besides his daughter, or maybe she could see him because she was related to him... another thing Alessandro didn't know. And being a ghost was all well and good but sometimes, he just wanted the ability to look things up on the Internet and answer his questions for himself.
He paused in front of a storefront. Snow White Sweets. He couldn't smell what they were baking inside, but he was curious anyway. Alessandro ducked inside behind a dark-haired woman who was heading in - he was still in the habit of waiting for someone to open a door rather than going through it - and glanced around. It wasn't anything like the cafes he used to know back home in Italy, but it was a start.
