"Big families run in the pack," Julian said easily. He and Tristan had had the same number of siblings until the twins arrived. It was probably just the wolf in them. Big families meant you never had to be alone. In fact, Julian had always naturally assumed he'd at least have four kids of his own. It was a little less likely now and he'd have had Marisa have her own way with the specific number...or would have if that'd...he shook his head. There was no need to think about any of that. "I guess it's just our nature," he added. Unlike other packs or kinds of weres even, Julian had no problem talking about his life like it were like any other normal person's. Because, for him, it was. And the Light of May only made it that much easier to talk about it like it was. Fur, fangs and full moons aside, he led a pretty normal life as far as anyone else was concerned.
Gathering the twins into his arms, he smiled at her knowingly. "Lauren Jones, that's a nice name," he said as Cleo climbed in top of his head. "Let me drive you back. I was heading home anyway and it really won't be out of the way. You can keep the scrubs for as long as you need them. You know where you can drop them off," he left no room for argument as he picked his keys off his desk with his free hand. Cleo slid down his head and dug her claws into the back of his shirt. "Let's go, Lauren Jones," he suggested and ushered her out the door gently.
