"A bit? I don't think she knows how to shut up." Otter was still smiling and it was said fondly. He didn't mind when Kat went on. She was cute when she babbled and it wasn't quite as bad as a lot of the girls that he knew. Trumped out his sister, that was for damn sure. "Yeah no, I get that, my family's big too, remember." But he didn't always love it as much as he thought that Roxy seemed to. Maybe it was a were thing, part of their whole wanting to be a part of the family. Otters weren't always as inclined to stay in their family groups from the studies Otter had done, and besides that he wasn't even an otter. He was an earth elemental and so long as there was a good garden he was going to be good.
"She is really pretty," Otter agreed, remembering what the mermaid had looked liked. Terrifyingly pale was his first memory but it was ridden over by the one of her with silvery skin and a silvered tail. Yeah there were gills in that image too but they weren't too bad. Could be worse. She could have had a fish top half and a human bottom half and how weird would that be? Way weird. Otter's mind couldn't even wrap around an image that weird. "I'm sorry your family's being all weird like that, but I'm glad you're happy with someone! I mean seriously, that's awesome Roxy, good for you. How's work treating you?"
