Viuly heaved out a sigh of relief when Lumi finally left the kitchen, pressing her back up against the wall. Her thoughts were still a mess, which seemed to always happen after any conversation with her sister, but ending the talking altogether for the time being was good. Rubbing her fingers through her bangs and pulling them off of her forehead, she closed her eyes and focused on breathing as an attempt to bring herself back to reality. Easier said than done when she heard the door from the backyard fly open and tiny feet stampeding inside a few minutes later.
"Auntie Lumi!" It was Liam, of course. "You're back!" The excite little kidlet bounced on the couch next to his aunt with smiles, all sorts dirty from playing with Mittens, who trotted in behind and headed to his mistress. You do realize I can hear your mind from all the way out from there, sweetheart, Mittens informed Viuly, purring lightly for her.
"I know and I apologize," she grumbled lowly as she bent down to scoop up the cat to cuddle with and waited for the food to finish cooking. "Dumb ass sister is dumb." Your sister isn't the only thing on your mind. "...shut up..."
