So far, Zeke was having a good day. Granted, he was working, but his boss wasn't in and a day without Meredith bitching about something was a day to be treasured. Honestly, she ran a shitty little newspaper that printed more advertisements than news anyway, and the journalistic purist in him could argue that their "news" wasn't news anyway. But this was Zeke, the guy who avoided confrontations like the plague, and at least he still had a paying job in his chosen field.
The band could take off any day now, though. Zeke would not be sad to leave the Scarlet Oak Sun behind.
Right now, it was time for lunch, and the air elemental was glad for the time out of the newsroom. Zeke had set the alarm on his phone to make sure he didn't forget when he was supposed to go back to work (thank god for iPhones) and decided to walk to get something to eat, instead of drive. It wasn't that far and the weather was nice, so why the hell not? Zeke had no idea he might not be alone, even if the wind felt a little chillier for a second than it would have otherwise. All it did was cause him to stop, then continue going. Even though he was an air, he wasn't a high enough level to even try to figure out what his element might be doing. Nothing he could do but shrug and carry on.
