It's Gonna Be Alright No Matter What They Say Who: Zhari and open When: midday around noon Where: Walking around the streets of Scarlet Oak, enjoying the weather
Zhari was confused. More than just slightly, but utterly and completely perplexed. This could be attributed to only one thing -the arrival of flowers at her home yesterday. Tuesday, as she had left for work, she found a large bouquet outside her apartment with the simple note telling her to smile and that someone loved her. It was almost creepy.
Ok, not almost. It was a lot creepy. Zhari didn’t know many people, other than Tessa and handful of others. Usually regulars at the bar she worked at. And not a one of them was the type to send her flowers. At least not those she knew well.
Maybe an overzealous bar patron had followed her home and was doting on her. Well, that didn’t sit well at all. Not even in the slightest bit. So when she prepared to leave her apartment to find a new job before she went to work for the night, she opened the door slowly and examined the area around her door for any sign of tampering or another random gift.
She seriously considered texting Tessa to get her opinion on it, but she’d see her soon enough. For now the flowers, while creepy, were pretty enough and ended up on her kitchen table. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she stepped out, locked the apartment, checked the door a couple times and set out to look for other employment.
Forgoing her car for the moment, Zhari hit the streets on foot, hoping to just happen upon something in town that might pique her fancy. If nothing else, it got her out into the day and a chance to enjoy the weather.
