So lock the kids up safe tonight
WHO: Treat and Kieron WHAT: Uhh Random Chance? Meeting. WHERE: Treat's backyard. WHEN: Early morning.
If Kieron ran any faster he would have lost his shoes. Gilbert had somehow attracted snarling mass of hunger dogs. Those butt sniffers didn't care if they took out Kieron's shoulder to get at Gilbert, they needed to play with him. It seemed like no matter how much faster he ran, the dogs were always behind him, snarling and barking. As he ran down the streets of Scarlet Oak at the crack of dawn he managed on an open door to a backyard. What the bloody hell, no one looks like their home. he thought and dashed around the corner of the street straight into the backyard, closing the door behind him as the angry dogs ran past, trying to see if they could see the lizard in the distance. His heart pounding a million miles a minute, Kieron backed away from the door and stumbled upon a cat. "Blimey cat, you coulda' been stomped by me boot."
The backyard looked nice enough, lots of cats though and that was a little bothersome for Kieron who was a dog person all the way. Cats were okay, he supposed, except when they were giant cats following cheeky girls into fancy clubs, no those cats were NOT cool. No one seemed to be there and Kieron had gotten so mixed up from what had just happened that he didn't even think to check around the corner. "Listen 'ere, if I'm gonna get chased by rabies infested dogs of death and destruction every time I stay out past two, you better have a damn good reason why you think I should listen to a word you've ever got to say to me." he said to the lizard, leaning up against the wall as he caught his breathe. It had severely worn him down and he was starting to think that maybe he should quit smoking. YOU did not listen to me, my sole purpose is to protect you and you just don't seem to understand that in order to protect you you have to do what I say! It was then he heard a slightly crackling, maybe another cat but he didn't know. He took his scrimshaw knife out of his pocket and edged toward the corner of the wall as quietly as he could.
