She'd allowed Liev to sire her and that was that. There wasn't much she could do to turn back the hands of time. And she wasn't quite brave enough to end her own existence. As much as she continued to believe Armand was waiting for her when she was ready to move on...what if there was nothing waiting for her after all? What if this was all she had? This eternity she had stolen from whatever diving being that was? She wasn't quite ready to face the possibility of nothing at the end of the world. When she'd died, she hadn't seen a bright light. She hadn't heard choirs of angels singing. There was just a pain and then...she was walking again, unable to eat human food but existing. And that was that. There was just a pain, very similar to the one she was now dreaming of as Laurent bit into her neck and drank her blood.
Odette's hand moved to her neck in real life as the dream ended and she fell into a dreamless sleep, which was a reprieve for her. She rarely remembered the dreams she had but they were horrible to experience. Most nights she dreamed of Armand but other nights she dreamed of less happy things. Of her children. Of Helena and Edward. Of people she'd killed. Of Liev's other children. Lovers. Whatever. Her sleeping form moved as she felt strange phantom pains in her neck. Since her turning, she'd not really let anyone that wasn't her sire or children feed from her and so it was a strange sensation. She muttered something incoherently as her head slipped to one side to rest against Laurent's shoulder before she stilled again, in her version of sleep, but otherwise seemingly dead to the world.
