Had Laurent voiced his thoughts, Odette would have agreed that not everything stayed the same. But there was still a certain amount of predictability to vampires. After a certain number of years, they did not change much. It was still easy enough to upset Liev and even easier to soothe Edward's ego. Even Odette herself was set in her ways, for the most part, and did not like people ruffling her plans. Which was what Liev did most of the time...and he remained a great source of irritation...but even that was to be expected. Because just as she knew which buttons to push on him, he knew all of hers as well. It was just the side effect of being around someone for so long and in extremely close terms. All Liev had to do was try and turn someone else and Odette was right behind him. Well, at least it had been the case when they were together. She'd stopped after they'd been apart...but now they were technically together again. Technically, which meant Odette was territorial of him and Liev of her. Hmmm, maybe allowing Laurent to spend the night was not the smartest move on her part.
"Forty or so years ago..." Odette mused. She was still traveling with Edward, living a completely hedonistic lifestyle. "Yes, things do change quite a bit in that time, don't they?" Crossing her bedroom to lock her door because Liev wasn't invited to this little party...and he did have his own bedroom. Not to mention if Liev so much as thought about harming Laurent, she'd break something over his head. It was amusing to consider that she was protective of Laurent but not possessive of him. Anyone that would have been allowed the same amount of intimacy she'd let him become a part of would have been branded hers and Rae's head would have popped off ages ago. She supposed it was because...well, Rae had come first. And Odette respected those boundaries, if nothing else. "I'm sure," she said with amusement as she pulled her sheets down. "The red would look divine on you...but that only comes out for special occasions," she added. She rarely had reason to wear red because she knew Liev preferred the blue. And Edward...well, she hadn't had to dress for his pleasure in a while but he preferred nothing.
All things considered, she was dressed very demurely for bed, what with only her arms bare. Sliding into her bed, she pulled the sheets up to her waist out of habit, even if the cold or heat did not bother her anymore. "Will you be joining me or are you still plotting the theft of my nightgown?"
