"Devereaux? The name actually sounds familiar." There were a lot of familiar names stored away in Laurent's memory that he had no reason to call up. Space that he needed to have free for other things and so bare minimums were remembered unless there was a good reason to remember more. "If I come across him perhaps I'll remember the face." He might actually keep an outlook now that he knew there was another French vampire from close to the same time around. It was always nice to have others to share stories and dreams with. Mostly dreams on his end, though access to Odette's was usually enough for him. Men did remember things differently though and perhaps this Devereaux would have something interesting in there. So I'll remember him for later, right now I have something else to pay attention to.
Laurent felt himself smiling again at Odette's assurance that there would be no trouble from this. Though he could not help himself as he followed into the room, the taste of fire elemental blood and knowledge that he was somewhere new - and yet vaguely familiar because he knew the owner of the room - making him feel more relaxed than he had since arriving in Scarlet Oak. "Always the perfect lady, aren't we, Duchess? And how is it that you know I intend on behaving myself?" he teased as he glanced around. Of course he had intended on behaving since he walked in - this was Odette and as far as he was aware that was not the sort of thing she stood for. "I like your room, you've always had good taste when it came to decorating." Nodding his approval he sat on the edge of the bed, tugging at his tie before grinning up at her. "I forgot to bring an extra shirt - do you maybe have any suggestions as to what I can sleep in?"
