Laurent felt as though every time the topic of Rae came up around Odette there was judgment going on. Probably well-deserved judging at that, but he could not look at it from a rational point of view. Because he could not even consider thinking ill of her no matter what she did and he knew that likely highlighted several issues of his own but since complete mental stability was not necessary for anything that he did he did not think overly much on it. Plus he had never called it over or accepted that it was, just that they were... sort of on a break. A really, really long one. That was blissfully dotted with interludes of peaceful quiet where he could be around someone like Odette who did not remind him of something wrong he had not even done.
