Liev had gone to the debate this evening, just as Odette had expected him to do. They had smoothed over whatever disagreement they'd had the night before and had decided that not thinking too hard about any of it was probably in everyone's best interests. Nevertheless, she had declined joining him at the debate if only because she wasn't politically inclined. While she was interested in hearing what the outcome would be, she could listen to the new tomorrow and get the same information. Except she could skip to the parts she wanted to listen to or read while the boring bits were on. Nevertheless, it was still too early to start watching TV for it (and besides, she had it TiVo-ed) so she had gone into her closet to play. On occasion, Odette made room in her closet for more things, which meant getting rid of some things she had outgrown. Like harem pants and things like that. Nevertheless, she'd been slightly obsessing about her Roberto Cavalli collection ever since she thought about a dress by him the night before.
All she needed was a montage to complete the evening as she tried on a few different outfits, playing with things that she'd swore would come back. And, after a while, she tried on some pants. She'd not worn them since they started becoming fashionable in the 60s. Nevertheless, she bought a few here and there because they were pretty. Trying on a pair of trousers by (who else?) Roberto Cavalli, she pulled a ring and a bracelet on to match the ensemble. As she looked at herself with a critical eye, the doorbell went off. Grabbing a coat she had left out as part of Cavalli's collection, she threw it over her shoulders and left it unbuttoned as she went to answer the door. Peering through the peephole, her stern features settled into a smile. Laurent was always a welcome sight even if he did stand her up a few nights ago. Opening the door, she placed one hand on her hip and smiled. "Here to grovel?" she teased.
