Fable just smiled. "Maybe Yoko will hear her coming, and wake me up before she gets to me." She had no doubt that baby Ainsley would be up and crawling and climbing sooner than a normal human baby, she could already walk in her wolf form. Whenever Fable thought she couldn't raise a werewolf baby on her own, she remembered she had the Morrisons to rely on, as well as friends like Viuly, who would at least let her vent when she needed to. Even when it was a struggle, Fable knew Ainsley got something from her father, and that meant to the world to her.
Ainsley shrieked, leaning towards Liam, and Fable pulled her back in so she wouldn't fall. The baby was not a cat, she would not land on her feet. "Of course we'll play," she told him, "but your mom is right, coffee first. Maybe if you're good, we can get you a snack too?" It would be Viuly's call of course, as Liam was her son, but one cookie wouldn't hurt and it would keep Liam calm while they waited.
Shifting the baby to her other hip as she stood up, with the grace of someone who did this a lot, Fable went to grab the door for all of them. "After you."
