To you it's not so clear, it's clear to me, it's clear as glass Who: Kiley Ricks and Tristan Kenyon Where: Starbucks to start When: Afternoon sometime
Finally, a day that was somewhat normal in town, curfew lifted and all. While in her head, Kiley knew she was likely strong enough to take on a vampire herself, and that one couldn't break into her house without an invitation, it had been enough to put the wolf on edge. Hell, she'd asked her brother Corwin to stay home for the weekend, rather than go out with friends like he usually did, and to his credit, he actually listened. She knew the danger was still out there, of course - wasn't it always? - but she for one was breathing a little better.
Enough so that she wasn't heading straight home after her shift at Starbucks. Instead she changed out of her work clothes and waited in line to get a drink of her own. Kiley didn't know exactly where she'd go after this, just that home was the very last stop on the list. Maybe she'd stop at Lenore's and pick up a new book or two, or stop to rent a movie, and she should definitely pick up something for dinner. She didn't have to look in her fridge to know that, with her brother home all weekend, it was going to be completely empty.
Genuine smile on her face, she grabbed her passion tea lemonade and started to head for the door.
