The moment the lights were killed, Lex smirked and let out a hearty chuckle. A Shade always had the upper hand when they were plunged into infinite darkness, but seeing that Lex was facing another Shade - his sire, to be exact - that didn't exactly mean it was going to be a walk in the park. At least now with the shadow embracing them, they could freely jump about the room as they saw fit, which was exactly what Lex planned on doing. He had spent years upon years perfecting such a technique, all thanks to Garrick, and wasn't going to go easy on him.
Slipping into the shadows, Lex jumped through them and appeared before his sire, until to slip back into them again and appear elsewhere. A favorite move of his, where he danced about his target, feigning blows in hopes to confuse them. It usually worked on mortals or those who couldn't even begin to keep up with a vampire, but probably not so much with Garrick. Didn't mean Lex wasn't going to at least try. After a moment, he finally darted in from the side and thrust the sword at his sire. If only Garrick was around when the demons were in town, then they could have gone out fighting together and not get slapped on the wrist for it.
