If Amelia had been a better friend, and had spent more time with Linnea, perhaps she would have noticed the woman's reactions to her words. Perhaps not. Either way, she didn't notice. Instead she looked around the room and thought about what she'd do. A nice counter clockwise jaunt, some words, holy water and BAM - ward completed. It was important for her to do a good job. These things weren't to be taken lightly and Amelia was a perfectionist when it came to most things; always when it came to her magic.
Amelia was getting in tune with the moment and so was surprised by Linnea's question. "Evil?" She tilted her head in thought, thinking of what she had read, those she had known. "I wouldn't say in general that to be the case. Now don't get me wrong, someone with demonic blood could certainly be or become evil but then so can people with ordinary blood. The few people with demonic blood I've encountered in my life have indeed been quite bad but I don't think it means anything necessarily." She shrugged. "Just as someone with angelic blood isn't going to be nice all the time, you know?" Her mind went to times in her life when she wasn't a particularly nice person. No, blood didn't always account for actions, that was for sure. "I've read that there are general ideas that those with demonic blood tend to be more..." She waved a hand in the air searching for a good word, "negative than others but evil? Not necessarily."
She glanced back into the room. "I wouldn't let it bother you, Linnea. It's just one more thing in life we have no control over and isn't nearly as bad as we might think it is." She smiled. That was probably advice she should take herself. She shook her head ruefully. "So, are we ready?"
