Linnea's medical skills existed for the sake of necessity and normally when they came up in conversation she would play them off as something she picked up because of her children. Which could actually make sense if one took Valterri into consideration. Poor boy always was getting banged up during his hockey practice and games. She doubted that Amelia would accept such a story but thankfully, she did not need to give one. And she still got her cut healed. He won't like that.
'He doesn't have to.'
She did hesitate a moment when asked about why a frame had flown across the room and damaged her. Yes, two of her children had psychic abilities - that she knew of - but neither of them exhibited a form of telekinesis. Valterri was a reader and Leif a telepath just like his father. "I've never had a problem with ghosts and no, my children aren't gifted in that arena. You know where their talents lie." Hard not to when Linnea's very first introduction to the woman had been because a younger Dagmar had decided that she did not feel like keeping her abilities underwrap when she got annoyed with another girl at school. "I do think that there is a ghost problem now, however."
'And we know who it is.'
"We don't know," Linnea corrected her familiar, nibbling now at the corner of a small blueberry muffin.
'Yes we do. It's Jokull.'
"If there was something haunting the house now then yes." Linnea knew that Strike was speaking to both of them and saw no reason why she should repeat what he said. Amelia understood English perfectly fine and had a familiar of her own. "It'd be Jokull. A death where one is shot cannot be pleasant to experience. The real question is how do you get rid of a ghost?"
