I'm coming out of my cage, and I've been doing just fine
Who: Jay and Liev.
Where: Jay's house A park.
When: Late Night.
What: The first Lycan she meets has to be the alpha. Of course.
Notes: /Sections/ depict words spoken in French.
All things considered, it wasn't such a bad night. Clear skies, some stars up there, and a park for her own. A big park, even. With little benches and light posts evenly marking the limits all around. And the park was completely deserted, not a single soul around, not a single heartbeat to be sensed around those trees. Only her, the sky, and a couple of grasshoppers. Yep, all alone. Perfectly well and alone. In the park. Nobody sneaking from behind her, no unnoticed bunch closing in from every direction. Just her; it was so quiet she could hear a couple of lazy birds somewhere. Well, not completely alone there, since there were birds now. And squirrels on the trees. Heartbeats, scratching noises around her. Oh my god, the thought flashed on her mind as she stiffened, looking around, expecting to see an army of were squirrels jumping at her. When such thing didn't happen, Jay relaxed, deciding she would be safe for the rest of the night if she stayed in the park. Most likely. Looking up at the sky again, she told herself there was no need to fear an attack at that very moment. Maybe later.
Curling in her bench, Jaenelle De Martins sighed; she hadn't had much of a comfortable bed to fall asleep on for over half a century, and her clothes, while up to date, were old looking and not precisely spotless. She might need a change of clothes soon -which was her way of reasoning she should have changed her clothes a good while ago, or even have more than a change, but really, did she care?- The backpack next to the bench was equally old, and it had seen most of the States already, fell over cliffs and been ran over at least ten different brands of trucks. Jay had to accept it, she had made a good investment with such a resilent backpack. And she needed a shower, for crying out loud; the more she smelled -which she didn't to a horrible degree, mind you- the easier she would be spotted, and she didn't want to be spotted, not by weres and not by other vampires; at least not more than the necessary. So far she had managed to stay away from whatever pack of Canis Lycaon that could be in the area -and apparenly there was no such thing as pack around-; not being alive wasn't a good excuse for not taking regular showers. It was disgusting, anyway.
"/Stupid vampires incapable of drinking blood without killing people/", muttered in French as she decided to settle for a night of sulking instead of sleeping; they should learn from her, who hadn't bitten anyone in the last two years, and when she had been forced to in the past -because you just couldn't get blood that easy- she hadn't killed a single person...weres didn't count. She needed to find somewhere more protected in oder to sleep. Under a...something, whatever in case it rained again; she wasn't eager to wake up completely soaked again. There was also the fact that the sun would rise in hours; she couldn't afford waking up with the sun high in the sky, and her without fae blood to at least manage to stay on her guard as she walked away. So, guard and sulk, two of her most used words -but not precisely her favorite ones-.
With some luck, nothing would happen for the next hours. Sure, go on, jinx it.
