Satisfied, Zaviar let it drop even from his mind. Knight however, turned his head in the direction Althea had gone and gave a doggy grin. 'You're just jealous that she thinks I'm sweet. And better to be furry and annoying than scaled. No offense, Zaviar.'
"None taken." It was a remark made by his familiar towards another familiar and had nothing at all to do with him. He could not control Knight's thoughts or behaviors anymore than Madeleine could Alethea's. They simply had to live with what they had been given because there was, quite literally, nothing that they could do. Had Zaviar been capable of it then he would have felt bad for the people who were given useless familiars. Oh if he had been given some sort of a songbird or an insect then he would have locked it up in a cage where no one could squish it. Knight would be considerably harder to damage. "I still think you as a hunter would only be applicable if you were hunting the vanillas," Zaviar pointed out with a slightly amused smirk. When most people thought of hunters they assumed that they were out there trying to kill this or that supernatural. Personally, Zaviar thought there was a nice niche in the world for hunters who would have no problem taking care of the nuisances that were the regulars.
"And you, how are you finding Scarlet Oak to be after a few more days? Any better?"
