Had Zaviar not been as familiar with snakes as he was he would not have recognized the sulking behavior. But he had sulked as a snake and that tended to be how it went. Looked like Madeleine's little familiar was jealous of him. Oh how amusing. Good that she was going to learn fast that she was not the owner of Madeleine though. Zaviar liked snakes and did not want to have one that disliked him hanging around. She was a snake after all, she could not expect to own a human.
'You go and you do that and bring it home to show your mom.' Knight was thoroughly unimpressed by the snake, going so far as to curl up with his muzzle on his paws to watch her. 'And you could say it but since I said it first that'd be rather pointless now wouldn't it? Yes it would, don't worry, I'm right.'
"Knight won't harm Althea," Zaviar promised on his familiar's behalf. "Though I'm betting that Althea will be more of a danger to your own sanity than anyone else has ever managed to be." Amused? Well yes, but only ever so slightly. It was difficult not to be when such a headstrong woman found herself faced with a snake that was going to do as it wished no matter what her opinion on the matter might be.
