O green world, don't desert me now
Who: Erika and Evan
Where: Forsythe & Family Funeral Home
When: 9pm. Ish.
Erika had hoped that it would stop raining before it was time to make her last delivery of the day, but she had no such luck. She didn't mind the rain itself so much as the having to run carefully back and forth from the shop to her car with one arrangement at a time under her umbrella. That and Petunia had already spent the afternoon splashing around in mud puddles and been bathed once; Erika really didn't feel like doing it twice in one day. With everything safely loaded into the SUV, Erika locked up the shop and then drove to the home of all the other Forsythes.
Most of her deliveries were made in the early morning before the shop opened for the day, but if she didn't make evening deliveries to her family's funeral home at least occasionally, she'd almost never see her siblings. Conscious, anyway. There was a break in the rain just as she pulled up to the house, and Erika said a quiet thank you to no one in particular for the good luck. Carrying Petunia so she wouldn't run off and get filthy again - or sit in the car eating the very bouquets she was delivering - Erika walked up to the front door and let herself in. She set Petunia down with a warning not to get into trouble and wiped her boots on the mat as she called out, "Hey! It's me! Anyone around want to help me carry stuff in from the truck?" She could manage it herself, of course, but it would go faster with company.
