Bonnie's mind was turning, and she was desperate to ignore it. If Dex was about to be charged with something, that wasn't gonna just go away. Would he ever come back? When would they hear from him next? How serious was it? Would the phone be tapped? I don't want to think about this shit.
"Then don't," her familiar said to her. Endellion hopped up onto Bonnie's lap and lay down, and her presence was somewhat comforting. "Wait until it's sunk in. Wait until you're good and ready."
Bonnie silently agreed, and though her brothers didn't hear the exchange, she nodded. "We don't know nothin'," she confirmed. "I should call the cops myself." Which, sounded fucking ridiculous - since when did a Byrne want to talk to a cop about anything - but it was impossible to turn her mind off entirely. "Cryin' my eyes out, say my brother is missing. He took all his shit and we're freaked out, want to report him missing. They won't do it, but it might look better than waiting for them to show up on our fuckin' door."
