Day in the sun Who: Ed (NPC), Marisa and *OPEN* When: Dusk Where: Berry Days
"Mommy," it was a quiet voice accompanied by a tug on her wrist that had Marisa looking down with a fond smile. It wasn't a scene that she was used to at all, used to being alone when she did pretty much everything like every leopard, but this she could handle. He was her son after all and maternal instinct trumped her desires to wander off alone. Not to mention she no longer had to worry about her connections with Owen since he had so conveniently vanished off somewhere. Marisa made a curious noise and waited for the question. "Blackberries?"
"Yes of course, you can have some berries, sweetheart," Marisa nodded and reached down to swing the small child up. Sure he was plenty old enough to walk on his own but she liked carrying him. After missing out on that many years she felt like she wasn't ever going to get enough of those little things. Which was why she'd come to this festival that was apparently such a big deal. Too many people all gathered together for her liking but Ed seemed to be fond of the bright colors and he especially liked the horses when they'd passed through the stables, even if they'd rolled their eyes and gone a little frisky at the scent of his mother. "And maybe we can go back and see the horses again alter." She did, on principle, refuse to babytalk.
"Blackberries and cream," Marisa ordered when they reached the stand, handing over the requested money before offering the treat to her son.
