Don't let them down, although it grieves you Who: Jillian and Locke Where: Berry Days Festival When: Noontime
Finally, a day off from work. Locke had been dying to go outside and do something instead of being locked up at the cafe all day. Didn't help that it was dead to begin with either. He didn't blame everyone going to the festival, though. This one by far something he looked forward to every summer. Not to mention it got his parents to finally shut up about being inside all day. Geez, he just wanted to curl up and read. It was harder to do outside when there were so many distractions. Like at the festival, did he want to check out the entertainment or get something to eat first? Hmm...
Running a hand through his blonde hair, he heaved out a sigh and decided to find something to munch on before wandering about the festival. And who could say no to strawberries? It might not have been cinnamon, but they were still delicious. There seemed to be a massive line waiting for the strawberry baked goods, leaving Locke at the dead end. His eyes kept wandering about the area, wondering if he would bump into anyone he'd know. Correction - bump into anyone good he'd know. Half the time he'd crash into some of the more popular kids from high school and all they wanted to do was talk smack. The hell was with kids this lifetime? Absolutely no respect or gratefulness for what they had. Trying to find someone who was on the same level as he was and in the same age range was easier said then done, but as always, he felt it was better off to be a loner.
