She didn't mean to cry. Crying meant sad things, like when they were all kidnapped in the first place. Aetheria had cried so much when that day came, but it was in the past now. She liked to think that her tears were a good thing when she bumped into her family members. Aetheria couldn't help herself - she missed Caelia! She looked a little different, as if she was more jaded than last time they were together. Tilting her head up, she smiled happily at her older sister and flicked some strands of hair out of her face.
"I missed you," her voice was small and light while she rubbed her eyes dry. "Thought I'd never see you again." The last several words cracked, causing her to swallow hard and rub her throat gently. Oh, there was so much she wanted to talk to Caelia about and only so much time she could use her voice without going into bouts of pain. She felt Kiana land gently on her shoulder, watching the chickadee inspect Caelia. Oh! You must be Caelia! Aetheria has been talking about you all day. She's really happy to see you!
